WARNER MUSIC LATINA SIGNS COLOMBIAN BREAKOUT PHENOMENON ARIA VEGA

Fresh off a Latin GRAMMY® nomination for Best New Artist, the Barranquilla-born artist behind “CHÉVERE” and the fast-growing “Costeñita Core” movement joins Warner Music Latina in partnership with Lionfish

Miami, FL (September 22, 2026) — Warner Music Latina today announced the signing of Aria Vega the Barranquilla-born singer-songwriter whose unmistakable sound, cultural identity and rapidly growing global audience have made her one of music’s most compelling new artists. The announcement comes just days after Aria earned her first Latin GRAMMY® nomination for Best New Artist, further cementing a breakout year that has rapidly elevated her profile across Latin music.

The new agreement builds on the momentum of an already successful collaboration between Aria, her management team at Lionfish, led by Rebeca León, and Warner Music Latina. The partnership arrives at a defining moment in Aria’s career. Over the past year, she has transformed regional momentum into a rapidly expanding international phenomenon. A rise now recognized by The Latin Recording Academy with her Best New Artist nomination, while building a world around her music that is distinctly her own: “Costeñita Core,” a celebration of the sound, slang, style, confidence and free spirit of Colombia’s Caribbean coast.

“CHÉVERE (premium_remix)” featuring Ryan Castro put Aria on the map, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Colombia Hot 100 and becoming one of the year's biggest songs. What followed proved it was no one-hit moment. “CULE POCO,” “AY MAMA,” “AGUA E’ PANELA” and “TOTOTO (+4)” continued to grow her audience and sharpen a sound and identity distinctly her own. Now, “Compa Coleto” has delivered her strongest debut yet. Another sign that Aria is just getting started.

Today, Aria reaches more than 6.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Her impact has also translated to the stage: following a successful run of shows in Colombia, she sold out her first U.S. headline performance in Miami and has begun taking her Cariavales internationally, with performances and headline dates across Spain and an upcoming U.S. run.

But numbers tell only part of the story. Aria has emerged at a moment when Colombian music continues to shape global culture, while bringing a perspective that remains uniquely hers. Rooted in Barranquilla and influenced by the cumbia, vallenato, mambo and porro she grew up hearing alongside contemporary Afro-Caribbean and urban sounds, she is building a musical universe that feels deeply local and immediately global.

“Every once in a while, an artist reaches that transformative moment where she discovers exactly who she is and Aria is in that magical moment right now,” said Roberto Andrade Dirak, Managing Director, Warner Music Latina. “What she has built from Barranquilla goes far beyond music; it’s a culture, a point of view, and a movement. The audience connection is real, the records are moving, and our mission is to scale her vision onto the global stage.”

For Rebeca León and Lionfish, the agreement represents the next stage of a carefully built artist journey and a partnership that had the opportunity to prove itself before a long-term deal was ever signed.

"From the very first time I heard Aria sing, I knew we were witnessing something rare. She writes and performs with an identity that can't be taught, and that's what's connecting with audiences everywhere. It is such a privilege to get to introduce this super powerful woman to the world on her own terms," said Rebeca León, Founder, Lionfish Entertainment.

For Aria, the partnership marks the next chapter of a journey she has deliberately built around authenticity rather than convention, now entering that chapter as a Latin GRAMMY®-nominated artist.

“I’ve learned that timing and intuition is everything. The right things find you when you’re ready for them, and this feels like the right moment, with the right team and the right partners, to turn everything I’ve ever dreamed of into a reality” said Aria Vega.

Aria’s rise has also earned recognition beyond the Latin GRAMMYs and the charts. Rolling Stone en Español selected her for its “Future of Music” series, highlighting an artist whose growth has come from embracing rather than diluting her regional identity. She has emerged as part of a new generation reshaping perceptions of Colombian music internationally, bringing the energy and cultural richness of the Caribbean coast into a contemporary global sound.

With an expanding international audience, new music underway and growing demand across markets, Aria, Lionfish and Warner Music Latina now enter the next phase of a partnership that has already demonstrated what it can accomplish, shifting the focus from breakthrough to scale.

Aria Vega’s next chapter is already in motion and Barranquilla is coming with her.
