For the second consecutive year Billboard will represent Tropical music with this conversation presented by the AARP, highlighting the salsa genre’s current and lasting impact on culture. Luis has solidified his status as the leading voice and star of the contemporary salsa scene, and is currently nominated for Best Salsa Album at the 27th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards, for his latest album, El Relevo. The album’s lead single “5 Minutos” is currently in the top ten on Billboard Tropical Airplay chart.
Luis will perform the U.S. national anthem this Saturday at the Nu Stadium for the Inter Miami CF home game as part of their Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.
