The festival kicked off Friday with a headlining set from music classics who have withstood the test of time, reinventing themselves in every era for several generations, such as Anuel AA, one of the most influential voices in Latin urban music, who took over the Main Stage in front of a sold-out crowd. The day also featured high-energy performances from iconic acts including Chencho Corleone, Eden Muñoz, and Omar Courtz, as well as a one-of-a-kind orchestral performance by reggaeton legend Yandel, who was accompanied by a symphony for a unique interpretation of his reggaeton classics. Representing the EDM scene were unbelievable acts Steve Aoki, Rayburger, and 3BALLMTY, and more adding an electrifying energy to the festival lineup.
Day two brought a dynamic mix of genres and new era voices to the Main Stage, kicking off with Hamilton, who brought Latin Afro sounds to the beach. The lineup continued with reggaeton heavy hitters J Álvarez, Zion, and Jowell & Randy, bringing old-school perreo to the shore. Other standout performances included Kenia OS, who delivered her signature Latin pop sound with her K de Karma set, and Nicky Jam, who brought his signature flow to the stage. Closing out the night was headliner Junior H, one of the defining artists of the new generation of música mexicana, who brought countless hits to the beach, featuring his unique sound that blends the tuba in banda and accordion in norteno style of the traditional Mexican regional with urban, trap hip-hop, and reggaeton to the main stage.
To close out the sold-out weekend, Baja Beach Fest welcomed a lineup of beloved Colombian artists, including Kapo, Manuel Turizo, and Ryan Castro. Representing the rising wave of Reggaetón Mexa were Cachirula & Loojan, and El Bogueto, each bringing their distinct sounds to the festival grounds. The weekend reached its finale on Sunday with Ozuna, the global Latin superstar known for his melodic reggaeton sound and chart-topping hits, before handing the Main Stage over to John Summit, who delivered an electrifying EDM set to close out the night. The evening also featured a special guest appearance by Sean Paul, bringing together Latin and global sounds and closing out the weekend with a lineup that celebrated the diverse range of artists and genres that define Baja Beach Fest.
Beyond the performances, Baja Beach Fest continues expanding the festival experience with the debut of its first-ever pool zone featuring local SoCal DJ’s along with additional activations throughout the weekend. For the second year in a row, the festival hosted a dedicated livestream experience with SHIFU.
With another completely sold-out year in the books, Baja Beach Fest continues to its place as one of the summer’s premier destination festivals. Set against the backdrop of Rosarito, the festival brings together some of the biggest names as well as emerging artists and genres in music for a one-of-a-kind experience.
