Davide Lo Surdo: the statue dedicated to him placed in a new location in Denmark

The bronze statue dedicated to Italian guitarist Davide Lo Surdo has been relocated to a new headquarters in the city of Aarhus, Denmark, finding a place in the Aarhus Ø district, an area of particular prestige. The monument, inaugurated in 2024, has been moved to a new location, identified to increase its prestige.

The sculpture was made by the Danish sculptor Esbensen Jesper and is dedicated to the artist's artistic journey.

Throughout his career, Lo Surdo has received several international awards. Rolling Stone magazine called him the fastest guitarist in the history of music, while the London Daily News and the Daily Times (TOB News) placed him in second place in their respective charts dedicated to the greatest guitarists of all time, behind Jimi Hendrix.

The awards also include the entry of the DLS1 guitar in the permanent collection of the Sigal Music Museum, in the United States. Another guitar used by Lo Surdo during the tour in Cuba in May 2024 was also acquired by the National Museum of Music of Havana and has become part of the institution's permanent collection.

The guitarist also appears on the cover of the volume Rock Memories Vol. 2, edited by Maurizio Baiata, dedicated to the history of rock.

In 2019, on the occasion of the Sanremo Music Awards held in Venice, Lo Surdo was awarded the award of "fastest guitarist of all time".
