Miami, FL (July 28, 2026) — Aria Vega’s international breakout continues as the Barranquilla-born singer-songwriter earns two nominations at Premios Juventud 2026: La Nueva Generación Femenina and Afrobeat Latino del Año for her breakout hit “CHÉVERE (premium_remix)” with Ryan Castro. The nominations mark Aria’s second career recognition from Premios Juventud, following her first nomination in 2022, and underscore a defining year that has seen her Costeñita Core movement evolve from a regional phenomenon into an emerging global cultural identity.
The recognition follows the success of “CHÉVERE (premium_remix),” which spent 16 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Billboard Colombia’s Hot 100, reached No. 2 on Spotify Colombia, and generated millions of TikTok creations across more than 10 countries. From dominating playlists to selling out her first-ever U.S. headline show in Miami, Aria has transformed the culture, rhythm, and identity of Colombia’s Caribbean coast into a movement that extends far beyond the music itself.
“These nominations mean so much because they’re a reminder that staying true to where I come from can resonate anywhere,” said Aria Vega. “Everything I do is inspired by Barranquilla and the Caribbean coast. To see that culture connecting with people around the world is something I’ll never stop being grateful for.”
This year’s Premios Juventud will be held in Spain for the first time, taking place on September 3 at Auditorio Starlite (Cantera de Nagüeles) in Marbella. The celebration will also introduce the inaugural PJ Fest, a week-long experience featuring live music, creators, fan activations, and special events leading up to the awards ceremony.
The nominations arrive amid a landmark year for Aria. “CHÉVERE” became one of Latin music’s defining records of 2026, while her latest single, “TOTOTO (+4),” launched the next chapter of Costeñita Core, fueled one of Colombia’s fastest-growing dance trends on TikTok, and accompanied a sold-out U.S. debut headline show at Miami’s ZEYZEY.
With momentum building across Latin America and the United States, these nominations further establish Aria Vega as one of the defining new voices of her generation, bringing the culture, sound, and identity of Colombia’s Caribbean coast to audiences around the world.
Premios Juventud 2026 will air live on September 3 on Univision, UniMás, Galavisión, and ViX.
