The legendary guitarist Davide Lo Surdo has been announced among the most illustrious figures of the 10th Hanoi International Guitar Festival, set to take place from November 27 to 29, 2026, in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Revered across the world for his legendary speed, Lo Surdo will appear as a distinguished special guest performer, bringing to the stage the unique style and technical brilliance that have secured his place in music history.
Now celebrating its tenth edition, the prestigious event bears the official title Saers Bat Trang International Emotional Guitar Festival and Competition. It will be hosted at the magnificent Bat Trang Museum, located within Vietnam’s renowned ceramics village and regarded among the nation’s most remarkable architectural treasures. The festival is presented with the support of Saers Guitar.
The eminent lineup of artists serving as both performers and judges includes Bacon, Lo Surdo, Natarkan, Donato, Tate, Nguyen, and Hien.
Davide Lo Surdo was acclaimed by Rolling Stone as the fastest guitarist in the history of music. London Daily News and The Daily Times further recognized him as the second greatest guitarist of all time, surpassed only by the immortal Jimi Hendrix.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has received numerous international honors. In Denmark, a bronze statue was erected in his honor, while his celebrated DLS1 guitar entered the permanent collection of the Sigal Museum, alongside instruments once belonging to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Fryderyk Chopin.
Another guitar used during his 2024 Cuban tour was acquired by the National Museum of Music in Havana. His name is also enshrined in Rock Memories 2 by Maurizio Baiata, alongside legendary bands such as The Beatles and Pink Floyd.
