CHUWI SELLS OUT FIRST-EVER LONDON HEADLINE SHOW, MARKING MAJOR MILESTONE IN THEIR GLOBAL RISE

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (June 30, 2026) – Chuwi reached another major milestone in their international ascent this past Friday with their first-ever headline performance in London, selling out NT's Loft with more than 400 tickets sold. The completely sold-out show marked the Puerto Rican quartet's largest standalone performance in the United Kingdom to date and represented a significant moment for London's growing Latino community, bringing together fans from across the city for one of the first events of its kind centered around an emerging Puerto Rican band. Their performance included fan favorites "Tikiri," "Falta Algo," "Tierra," "Guerra," "biPARTIDOS," "WELTiTA," and recent single "Plei," alongside deeper cuts including "Uwu," "Rico y Pico," "Escúchame," "Judy Nelson," "Durmiendo," and "Mundi," Chuwi transformed the intimate venue into a celebration of Puerto Rican music, culture, and community. The sold-out audience sang along throughout the night, underscoring the band's rapidly expanding international fanbase and demonstrating the growing demand for Chuwi beyond Puerto Rico and the United States.

The headline performance comes amid Chuwi's European run as the official opening act on Bad Bunny's DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour, where the band has introduced its music to tens of thousands of concertgoers each night across the continent. Together, the Madrid debut and sold-out London performance mark another chapter in Chuwi's international growth, reflecting the band's expanding audience and increasing demand for headline performances across Europe.

Recognized as part of the
Future 25 by Rolling Stone en Español, highlighting the artists defining the future of music, Chuwi continues to build momentum as one of the most exciting rising forces in Latin music. The Puerto Rican quartet was also featured on the NME 100 of 2026 and named one of Billboard’s 26 Latin Artists to Watch in 2026, further solidifying their growing global profile. Formed in Isabela, Puerto Rico, the group is composed of siblings Lorén, Willy, and Wester Aldarondo, alongside family friend Adrián López. Together, they are reshaping the island’s contemporary sound through a fusion of salsa, plena, and modern Caribbean rhythms, paired with emotionally driven songwriting and layered musicianship. Their breakout moment arrived with “WELTiTA,” featured on Bad Bunny’s DtMF album and performed during his No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí residency, a collaboration that propelled the group onto the international stage. The track went on to earn Chuwi their first nomination at the Premio Lo Nuestro for The Perfect Mix of the Year, as well as a nomination at Premios Tu Música Urbana Mix 2026 in the category of Artista Indie/Alternativo. The group later delivered a standout performance at the 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards, opening with “Tikiri” before transitioning into “WELTiTA,” joined onstage by Bad Bunny. Chuwi also appeared on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series during Latin Music Month, delivering an intimate performance that showcased their versatility across “Falta Algo,” “Tikiri,” “Tierra,” “Guerra,” and “Navidades en Cataño.” Most recently, the session was released as an official project titled CHUWI (Live from NPR’s Tiny Desk), transforming their breakout NPR debut into a fully realized live recording. With over 7.6 million monthly Spotify listeners and rapidly expanding international recognition, Chuwi continues to evolve as one of Puerto Rico’s most dynamic contemporary acts, carrying the island’s sound and spirit into a new global era.
