ARCÁNGEL KICKS OFF BIGGEST TOUR OF HIS CAREER WITH THREE SOLD-OUT SHOWS IN SPAIN FOR ‘LA 8VA MARAVILLA WORLD TOUR 20 ANIVERSARIO’

NEW YORK (May 12, 2026) – Latin urban icon Arcángel has officially launched the biggest tour of his career as La 8va Maravilla World Tour 20 Aniversario kicks off with three completely sold-out shows in Spain, marking a monumental start to the global celebration of his 20-year legacy in music. The historic run includes sold-out performances across Madrid and other key Spanish markets, reaffirming Arcángel’s enduring status as one of the most influential and beloved artists in reggaetón history. 

Throughout the opening shows, Arcángel surprised fans with a series of special guest appearances including JC Reyes, who joined him for performances of “2012” and the fan-favorite classic “El Pistolón,” as well as Gonzy and Saiko for “Xclusivo Remix.”

He also shared the stage with his son Austin San for a high-energy performance of “Gohan y Goku.” One of the night’s most memorable moments came during a special rendition of “Por Amar a Ciegas," performed alongside symphonic musicians as part of the show’s elevated live production. Following the initial announcement of the tour earlier this year, tickets across Europe and Latin America sold out within minutes of going on sale. Major cities including Madrid, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Quito, and Guayaquil immediately reached capacity, while his highly anticipated stadium performance at Estadio Atanasio Girardot in Medellín, expected to host more than 50,000 fans, also sold out instantly. 

Due to overwhelming demand, additional dates were added in Madrid, Medellin, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Guayaquil, and Quito, further underscoring the global anticipation surrounding the tour.

La 8va Maravilla World Tour 20 Aniversario celebrates two decades of Arcángel’s groundbreaking contributions to Latin urban music, honoring the catalog, cultural impact, and artistic evolution of one of the genre’s defining pioneers. Featuring an ambitious live production and a career-spanning setlist, the tour brings together the classics that helped shape reggaetón’s global rise alongside the hits continuing to dominate streaming platforms and charts worldwide.

The launch of the tour arrives on the heels of Arcángel’s emotional celebration at the 2026 edition of Premio Lo Nuestro, where he received the prestigious Urban Icon Award in recognition of his two decades of influence on urbano music. The tribute performance featured appearances from Eladio Carrión, J Balvin, Jay Wheeler, Jhayco, Sech, and Mora, with surprise guest Feid joining him onstage for a memorable performance of “Mírame Baby.” The celebration continued following the release of his latest album, La 8va Maravilla, which extends Arcángel’s remarkable streak of releasing a full-length project every year since 2018. 

The project features collaborations with global superstars including Ricky Martin, Sech, Daddy Yankee, and Grupo Firme, while also spotlighting a deeply personal new chapter in his career through collaborations with his son, Austin San.
